A quality pair of wildland fire boots can cost $500 to $800, and quickly wear from rugged conditions requiring replacement more often than average footwear. For some firefighters; especially those in volunteer, seasonal, temporary, or contract roles; replacing worn or poorly fitting boots can become a true financial burden. Every dollar donated goes to support wildland firefighters working to protect lives, animals, communities, and public lands.

Wildland firefighters operate in some of the most dangerous and demanding environments imaginable, often working 16–20 hour shifts, sometimes for weeks at a time. The difference between standard issued gear and properly fitted, high-quality equipment can mean:
