Operation Wild Step

We’re former U.S. Army Medics who built our lives around a simple mission: take care of those to our left and right. That commitment didn't end when we hung up our uniforms, it continues to guide everything we do.

Our board is made up of proud Veterans of Foreign Wars whose combined military service includes deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Today, we make an impact in a variety of industries; industrial services, fitness, and accounting while remaining united by a shared commitment to service.

Operation Wild Step was founded because we know first hand that the right boots can make all the difference. Like Soldiers, wildland firefighters hike long distance carrying heavy packs and gear across unforgiving terrain that most people will never see. On the line, boots aren’t just gear, they’re key to survival. Failing boots turn into injuries and injuries take critical teammates off the line when their crew needs them most. 

As former Army medics, we understand that preventing injuries is just as important as treating them. Now, we're making sure wildland firefighters have what they need before they step onto the fireline. 

At the end of the day, it's simple: Take care of your feet, so they'll take care of you.
